Fast Company Mobile App

The Fast Company mobile and iPad app project launched in February 2015. It was created in partnership with Adobe, using a new set of publishing tools that integrated HTML with a next-generation version of Indesign DPS called Juno, which was a precursor to the new Adobe Publish system. I worked as creative designer and art director, along with Fast Company creative director Florian Bachleda and designers Julian Bassermann and Christian Gaffney. Fast Company editor in chief Robert Safian describes the project as “a unified app-based experience that lives on both iPad and iPhone” that “integrates our monthly magazine content with real-time feeds from our web properties.” The content includes constantly updated feeds from the Fast Company websites, a series of daily editors’ picks, and full content from the print edition of the magazine. It was designed to flow seamlessly into both mobile and tablet formats, with a minimum of hands-on design by the Fast Company staff.
