Fortune was a twice-monthly business magazine published by Time Inc. While I was the design director, we completely redesigned the departments, front and backs of the book, overhauled the feature look and updated the cover design. The look was newsy and authoritative, bold and masculine, meant to convey the image that Fortune was “The Bible of Business.” The design highlighted the strong photography and in-depth graphics and charts, which were produced in-house by the art department.

The art and graphics department at Fortune was 15 people, including designers Maria Keehan, Renee Klein, Nai Lee Lum, Tony Mikolajczyk, John Tomanio, Linda Eckstein, Sarah Slobin, and Linda Rubes.
