JCK was a trade magazine for the retail jewelry industry. I was hired by their new owners to do a complete redesign, and then worked for a year as creative director with art director Lance Pettiford and photo director Emma Hopson. Chalkley Calderwood also worked on the redesign, and Linda Rubes contributed feature designs. As part of its redesign, JCK went to an oversized format, improved its paper quality, and added original photography.
