Legendary book and LP cover designer Paul Bacon passed away on June 8 at the age of 91. He designed over 6500 book covers in his long career. As Print magazine said, “Bacon can be said to have invented the bestseller jacket as we know it.” He designed countless blockbuster bestseller cover, including many of the most iconic books by authors like Norman Mailer, Kurt Vonnegut, Philip Roth, and E.L. Doctorow.
