For the Love of Entertainment Weekly Speakers Night

The Society of Publication Designers is celebrating their 50th anniversary with an impressive series of speakers events. First up is For the Love of Entertainment Weekly, a gathering of every design director in the magazine’s 25-year history (with a special tribute to late DD Amid Capeci). Included in the panel discussion will be Michael Grossman, John Korpics, Geraldine Hessler, Brian Anstey, Kory Kennedy, and Tim Leong, plus me (I was design director at EW from 1994-96). This promises to be an historic event, with great visuals and behind-the-scenes details of the creation of one of the most creative and dynamic mainstream magazines of the modern publishing era. For the Love of Entertainment Weekly will be September 30 at 7pm at the Helen Mills Theater in New York City. Tickets are available via SPD.
