Judging for the Society of Illustrators Student Competition

New York City

I’m judging the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Competition, the first week of February in New York City. The competition, started in 1981, is open to full time students in undergraduate illustration programs. A panel of distinguished judges will select over 300 pieces from thousands of entries submitted nationwide. Over $50,000 in scholarships will be awarded to selected students. Competition chair Jordin Isip says, “This competition is a wonderful catalyst for furthering the education of illustration students, not just monetarily, but also providing them with great exposure, and a boost to their confidence and morale.”

Deadline for entering the competition is January 30, 2015.
