10 Great Entertainment Weekly Covers Designed by Kory Kennedy

As a former design director of Entertainment Weekly (I was there from 1994-96), I have a never-ending fascination with the magazine’s covers and design. Kory Kennedy was Entertainment Weekly‘s seventh design director, adding his creative magic from May 2012 until this past month. In those two years he designed over 100 covers and gave the magazine an energetic, engaging look (and also did some very creative things to the Entertainment Weekly logo!). You can see samples of his Entertainment Weekly work, plus editorial design from previous jobs at Runner’s World, Spin, Rolling Stone, and more on his website. The cover designs of all the previous Entertainment Weekly art directors have been collected by the Society of Publication Designers: Michael Grossman, Robert Newman, John Korpics, Geraldine Hessler, Brian Antsey, Amid Capeci.

Here are 10 favorite Entertainment Weekly covers art directed by Kory Kennedy from 2012-14.
